Kershaw was amazing

Need I say more?

The kid grew up a bit on Wednesday night. He threw strikes for the most part, 63 out of 105, and he mixed up location and sight line.

He moved up and down the ladder, moved the ball in and out and for the most part looked exactly like he knew what he is doing. He became much less of a thrower and more of a pitcher.

And he still had his electric stuff.

13 strikeouts, 10 of them swinging, meaning he had overpowering stuff. His last pitch of the game was 95-97 (depending on what radar gun you saw) as he reared back and just blew Bengie Molina away.

He pitched up in the strike zone, which a guy with his stuff should. You can't leave it thigh high or at the belt, you have to get it above the belt where it's tough to lay off of and even tougher to catch up with.

He did exactly that all night long. The one mistake came on a changeup that stayed up and floated into the hitting zone.

It's too bad the bullpen blew it for him. I better not get started on that.

What about that walk-off win!
But what about J. Martin it's hurting to watch him play now.

what a way to win!! haha. the giants are a joke. good thing the dodgers won that game. leaving a ton of men on base. someone beat me to it in saying martin is hard to watch right now. he has to lead mlb in runners left on. kershaw!! wow!!

Is there a big problem with having two lefties bat after Manram? Ethier fourth and Loney fifth makes sense to me, Loney is an RBI machine and more likely to hit a fly ball to the outfield (see 8th inning) with runners in scoring position then ground what should have been a double play ball to the shortstop.

Thanks to the Giants for paying renteria a ridiculous amount, and thanks to Renteria for messing up the gift wrapped double play that Martin tried hard to hit into.

Anybody else think that Kershaw looks like Sunshine from Remember the Titans?

He looks just like that guy's skinny brother.

Lets keep it rolling against the Rockies, getting off to a good start is important as in any year, but beating up on this weak division is a must if we are to be competitive in playoffs.

How about the job Stults is doing? He always seems to do well in his first few starts, then teams figure him out and light him up. But for the fill in job he has done so far he looks to replace McD in the rotation when Kuroda comes off the DL
