Wednesday's game in San Francisco

In just a little while I am going to jump on BART, head into San Francisco and meet up with my friends for some food and beverages before the series finale with the Giants.

I'll have plenty more to say about this game when I get home later tonight, or early tomorrow, but for now here are some things I will be looking for against Tim Lincecum.

First of all, it is absolutely necessary for Eric Stults to be sharp. He needs to be mentally prepared and take every hitter seriously, because he can't afford to give up more than two or three runs because Lincecum certainly won't.

The Dodgers need to be patient against Lincecum. They need to do whatever they can to lay off that devastating changeup, and they need to put up quality AB's against him in order to get his pitch count up.

If and when the Dodgers get to the San Francisco bullpen, they have to treat them like the mediocre 'pen they are. The Dodgers relievers are going to have to be solid tonight.

Look for Manny Ramirez to rise to the challenge. He has never faced Lincecum, and Manny certainly likes a challenge. I think he's gonna hit a couple of balls hard.

Those are just some quick thoughts, so I will have more later. I am going to get ready to go, and hopefully I won't go insane dealing with thousands of morons. Did I say morons? I meant Giants fans.
