So the site is re-designed, and looking good. We have some new features such as the organizational depth chart, a poll, a blog roll and so forth.
We were having some problems allowing comments, but we're back just like the Dodgers are back in the win column after a night on the bad side of the ledger.
It was nice to see the Dodgers scratch and claw out a win a night after not doing so. Going 1-for-14 with runners in scoring position is pretty horrible, so seeing them go 4-for-14 (.286) is a relief.
James Loney, Casey Blake, Matt Kemp and Russell Martin all came up with big hits, and I want to say thank you to Jose Arredondo for walking Juan Pierre, because the little guy was going to have a hard time getting one in the air or getting it through a five-man infield.
Randy Wolf didn't pitch poorly, in fact I thought he looked good. One pitch kinda ruined his night, and it wasn't a bad pitch. It was down and in, but Torii Hunter is a good hitter and just beat him.
Our ace Chad Billingsley takes the mound tomorrow, giving the Dodgers a very solid chance at taking two out of three against this very tough team.
That would be nice to see considering they are hitting the road for seven games, including four in Wrigley Field.
On the injury front, Andre Ethier, who appears to be coming out of his slump, split the nail on his big toe of his right foot, but hopefully it's not something that keeps him out tomorrow.
Jason Schmidt, on top of not pitching very well (while in the game for the Isotopes) in his Triple-A rehab start, took a liner off the head. As scary as it sounds, it appears he's not hurt too bad.
He throw only 27 pitches and and gave up five hits, including a two-run homer.
Good news from the injury front, is Hiroki Kuroda looking in his first rehab start for Inland Empire. He gave up just one unearned run in 3 2/3 innings. One more Minor League start and he'll be back.
The Dodgers rotation looks very solid with him in it.
So are we still thinking Jake Peavy? Erik Bedard? I think Eric Stults and Jeff Weaver make a decent combination for now.

ouch. hope schmidts head is not seriously hurt. it will be good to have kuroda back. should be in 10 days or so...
A liner to the dome is no joking matter, but I think someone was trying to put Scmididt out of his misery.
