A little breathing room?

Tonight, I feel like it is a little easier to breathe.
The Dodgers got out of San Francisco taking two out of three, though they found themselves missing yet ANOTHER chance at a sweep. It's been nearly two months since one of those.
However, I digress.
With Colorado losing two of three in San Diego, the Dodgers went back to Los Angeles with a three-game lead.
And just in time, the Pirates come into town while the Rockies get to tangle in the Bay with Tim Lincecum.
So, tonight, I feel a little more relaxed. If things go as they should, not as I think they should, but as statistics say they should, the Dodgers should go to sleep tonight with a four-game lead.
After the Pirates, a series that is ripe to be swept, the Dodgers welcome in the Giants and they will have Lincecum, Matt Cain and Brad Penny lined up to pitch. LA needs to have a four-game lead when that series starts, just in case those three tough pitchers are locked in and the offense disappears.
Meanwhile, Colorado will be in Arizona, which is a very winnable series.
So, my friends, I know I was preaching doom a few days and things are looking a little bit better right now, but by no means are the Dodgers safe and clear.
When the Rockies come into town on October 2, the National League West will still not have been decided.
Hopefully, by that time, the Dodgers need to just win one of those games to clinch the division in front of the home fans.

You apparently haven't been paying attention, because I have been complaining all day about the 3k limit, *even though* it doesn't affect me at all personally.

???? huh

Well the blue crew certainly makes this interesting dont they!

I think that post before yours is spam. I'm gonna have to block him.
It's not like they dominated the Pirates, but they pulled away late and got the job done.
I don't want the Giants getting too close, but them winning one of these next two against Colorado would be welcome.

Now I feel were on a roll!!!!!! Only takes the studly Kemp and sir Andre to come through and make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Playing hot leading to playoffs is important, and then keeping that feeling while playing the Phills. Its a good time to get hot and get the fans back on your side before october.
