And just when things were starting to go well...

They had won 10 out of their last 13 games, they were up 3-0 and Chad Billingsley was pitching a no-hitter as they looked for their fourth straight win and were on the verge of going 32 games above .500.
Then...
What an embarrassing loss. The Dodgers looked like the Nationals in the last few innings.
After tying the game in the ninth, to not score with the bases loaded and nobody out is unacceptable.
Oh wait, why were they trailing? Because Orlando Hudson couldn't turn a routine double play. Wait, why wasn't the inning over? Because Matt Kemp, for some reason, thought Manny was gonna catch a can-of-corn flyball and he let it drop.
They led 3-0 in the sixth and with one swing of Ryan Zimmerman's bat, the lead, the no-hitter and all the momentum this team had built for two weeks was gone.
Billingsley almost looked like a decent pitcher, but then remembered that he doesn't like to work ahead of the hitters and throw strikes.
So what happens? He hangs a pitch to Zimmerman and the first hit is a three-run bomb.
I was all prepared to write a story about how this team had turned it around and maybe Billingsley would come in handy in the playoffs, but that went to crap.
I was so disgusted after that game, I didn't want to post but I forced myself to do so.
Home field is going to be so important and they need to lock it up. Losses like this are ridiculous. Seriously, if they lose tomorrow, they will have lost a series in September to the Nationals.
