I'm very confused by this alleged signing of Reed Johnson.
First of all, we already have a version of Reed Johnson and his name is Jason Repko. Sure, being a poor man's Reed Johnson doesn't speak too highly about Mr. Repko, but he's the same kind of player and he's cheaper.
Second of all, I wanted Garrett Anderson. A guy who can provide some pop at a moments notice, and a proven RBI guy. Also, Anderson is left-handed and that is what the Dodgers need. The bench is now very, very right-handed which probably means that Blake DeWitt has been moved out of the starting second base slot.
I'm sure he will get playing time and at-bats, but Ronnie Belliard and Jamey Carroll are probably going to get most of the AB's.
I also feel more comfortable with Anderson as an every day player after Manny loses his mind (because we know he will) and Johnson playing every day doesn't exactly strengthen the lineup.
Not happy about this one, fella's.

i'm with you man...anderson is the better fit for what this team needed...
I still think Anderson can still be had, but as a LH bat off the bench. If Manny losses his mind I certainly dont want to see Anderson starting everyday. I'd almost rather have Pierre... no wait, nevermind. I still don't want Garrett Anderson as an everyday starter if Manny goes Manny on us. There are better options in house for that.
Got on here to complain about reed but you all beat me to the punch...wtf anderson is a better option, and could/will start w Manny....with the addition of belliard carroll is a wasted signing
I agree with dusto, don't want Anderson as the every day player if Manny goes crazy. With that said I think that Anderson, coupled with Repko and Paul, could fill the LF void as a platoon. Anderson would have been a better signing than Johnson.
I also wanted repko to have a chance to revive his career after years of injuries...he is a hustler! We need xavier paul and his left handed bat now.

Really brian giles? Wish we could have had him five years ago...don't think he can hit anymore
